This post was supposed to come right after Halloween, but life gets busy, and now we’re playing the catch up game.
I had mentioned that I made treats for my sons first class party.
The kiddos got treat bags and cupcakes, but, because I’m nice, I even made something for the parents.

TRUFFLES
I consider myself a beginning baker. I’ve made many things home made, and some things start with a store bought cake mix and is transformed into something amazing, like my truffles.
Pictured here are four types of Truffles. They started with a plain cake mix, but I add additional ingredients and the fillings are from scratch.
- Red Velvet Fudge: Red Velvet cake, with homemade cream cheese filling mixed into the crumbled cake, along with some additional ingredients. The center is a home made milk chocolate fudge. Then its dipped into a white chocolate with a milk chocolate drizzle.
- Orange Creme: White cake, with a homemade orange creme filling mixed into the crumbled cake, along with some additional ingredients. Then dipped into white chocolate and drizzled with an orange flavored white chocolate.
- Milk Chocolate fudge: This is just my homemade milk chocolate fudge dipped into a milk chocolate.
- Pumpkin Spice: White cake, with a homemade pumpkin spice and cream cheese filling, along with additional ingredients. Dipped into white chocolate. Drizzled with a white chocolate spice and sprinkled cinnamon on top.
I am happy to report that all the parents loved them. Most of them said the pumpkin was their favorite. They were very appreciative.
